States that have abolished the death penalty get -15 on my next update. That is kinda important. If your state is in the bottom list in this link, you got backed up in the race.

Also deciding to add another negative category of -3 for especially defiant resistance by legislators to retrogressive agendas (e.g. Wisconsin Democrats leaving the state).
